The best days out in Kent

Kent, located on England’s south eastern tip has long been a favourite for London day trippers flogging the gorgeous beaches in Broadstairs or Sandwich. But Kent is also dotted with medieval towns, a brilliant natural scenery, and places of great historical importance. And in recent years Margate, Kent’s former showcase seaside resort which saw a massive decline in the 80ties and 90ties is experiencing a massive revamp! Find out more about 8 great things to do and see in Kent here.

1. Visit Margate

Let’s start with the in- famous Margate. The all-time favourite day trip for London’s East Enders, home to amusements arcades, bars and nightclubs declined faster than their rollercoasters until recently. And again, it’s the East Enders contributing to its rise. Only this time it’s artists and creative types leaving Shoreditch to set up camp here. The result is a quirky, sometimes tacky but always eclectic mix of old and new. You find art galleries, the Turner Contemporary, vintage shops next to fruit machine arcades and disco pubs!

And the The Vintage Theme Park Extravaganza | Dreamland Margate is too good to miss!
