Kent, located on England’s south eastern tip has long been a favourite for London day trippers flogging the gorgeous beaches in Broadstairs or Sandwich. 1. Visit Margate
Let’s start with the in- famous Margate. The all-time favourite day trip for London’s East Enders, home to amusements arcades, bars and nightclubs declined faster than their rollercoasters until recently. And again, it’s the East Enders contributing to its rise. Only this time it’s artists and creative types leaving Shoreditch to set up camp here. 2. Seal-watching in Ramsgate

3. Visit Dungeness
See Britain’s only desert in Dungeness. You read right, it’s officially a desert. A place of pure natural beauty set against the backdrop of an old power station, a vast landscape and a superb stretch of beach leading all the way to the glorious Camber Sands. Dungeness is a fascinating, eerie place, ideal for those who want to switch off completely and escape from their daily routine for a few hours. 4. Kitesurfing in Whitstable
Action lovers this way! Whitstable known for it culinary seafood scene and quaintness is also the centre of the kitesurfing scene in Kent.
